Recently, at a waste recycling center, dozens of discarded refrigerators and washing machines were awaiting disposal. Unlike the traditional manual dismantling method, a large dual-shaft shredder was used for centralized processing. Once the machine started, the sturdy shells of the appliances were quickly shredded into uniform fragments.

According to the center’s manager, waste appliances are bulky and complex to dismantle, making manual processing inefficient. With shredders, metals, plastics, and other materials can be efficiently separated during subsequent sorting, ensuring high-value resource recovery. The shredded material is then transported to recycling plants for use in producing new components and materials.
